Cookie Policy — RecoverStack

Effective date: 2026-05-04 Last updated: 2026-05-04 Operating entity: RecoverStack LLC

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. They let the site remember information about your visit, like your login status or preferences. RecoverStack uses cookies on recoverstack.dev (the marketing site) and app.recoverstack.dev (the dashboard).

How we use cookies

We split cookies into three categories:

Essential cookies

These are required for the site to work. You cannot disable them without breaking core functionality.

Cookie Purpose Duration
rs_session Authenticated session for the dashboard Session (deleted on browser close)
rs_csrf Cross-site request forgery protection on form submissions Session
rs_cookie_consent Stores your consent choices for non-essential cookies 12 months
Supabase Auth tokens (sb-*) Authentication state with our auth provider Session + 1 hour rotating refresh

Analytics cookies

These help us understand aggregate usage. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is privacy-respecting (no individual tracking, no third-party sharing). You can disable analytics cookies via the cookie banner or the cookie settings link in the footer.

Cookie Purpose Duration
__cf_bm (Cloudflare Bot Management) Distinguishes bots from humans for security 30 minutes

We do NOT use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, or any other third-party advertising tracker.

Marketing / advertising cookies

We do not use marketing or advertising cookies. No third-party ad-network cookies are set on our domains.

Your choices

When you first visit recoverstack.dev, you see a cookie banner with three options:

  • Accept all: allows essential and analytics cookies
  • Reject non-essential: allows essential cookies only; analytics cookies are not set
  • Customize: lets you select per-category

You can change your choice anytime via the Cookie settings link in the site footer.

Browser-level controls

Most browsers let you block cookies, delete cookies, or get notified when a cookie is set. Refer to your browser's documentation:

If you block essential cookies, the dashboard will not work for you.

Do Not Track

We respect your browser's Do Not Track signal. If your browser sends DNT, we do not set analytics cookies regardless of your banner choice.
